CricketCast.net recently became a sponsor of the Eagle Eye Live Cam.

This is a live streaming web camera installed in a bald eagle's nest on Hornby Island, BC. Besides the Eagle cam, Hornby is famous (at least on the west coast of British Columbia) for having a great nude beach (not that anyone from CricketCast has ever been there, of course . . .)

The eagle recently laid eggs, which are expected to hatch in a month or so. The camera is quite great – it is amazing to see the pair (who apparently has nested there for 19 years) go about their egg-hatching duties through the day. The camera has audio too, and you can hear the nearby ravens that would just love a chance for an eagle egg omelet.

Anyway, the eagle cam has become a surprise hit for its creators, with millions of people viewing it daily thanks to coverage on CBC (Canada's national network), and various media outlets and blogs in North America and around the world.

We have been seeing increased traffic from our sponsorship (the little text link at the bottom of the eagle cam page), with over 45,000 visitors watching CricketCast episodes nearly 20,000 times in the past few weeks.
